Anti-age dentistry
Today, there is a separate field of dentistry called Anti-age. This includes not only the restoration of lost teeth, but a whole range of measures to compensate for age-related changes. For example, if your teeth are perfectly shaped and perfectly coloured and a comprehensive rejuvenation treatment is performed, the lower third of your face will be naturally lifted and you will look at least 5 years younger.
Age-related changes affect not only our skin, but also the dental system. And Anti-age dentistry provides a rejuvenation effect. Its range of measures is aimed at the so-called Anti-age effect, allowing you to correct major undesirable changes. This rejuvenating dental intervention lifts the lower third of the face, which will produce really noticeable results: visually, you will look 5-7 years younger.

What dental problems come with age?
It is scientifically proven that the ageing process in our body starts after the age of 25, and by the age of 35-40 it becomes visible to everyone. They also affect the teeth.
Obviously, even without one or more teeth, the face looks older. But even with a complete dentition, there are enough age-related problems:
- the size of the teeth becomes smaller because there is a natural wear and tear on the enamel. As the teeth shrink, the lips thin out and wrinkles form around the mouth;
- tooth enamel dulls and can become chipped and cracked, which also makes us look older;
- the bite height is reduced. This causes the lower third of the face to droop, increases the depth of the nasolabial folds and results in and results in the appearance of sullenness;
- the skin of the face becomes thinner and sinks lower. This makes the upper teeth less visible during conversation and the lower incisors, on the other hand, more visible. This is also another characteristic sign of aging.
What are the goals of anti-age dentistry?
To achieve a pronounced Anti-age effect requires a holistic approach, i.e. attention to all the dental problems (changes) that occur with age.
We at DENTART achieve such anti-aging goals for our patients:
- We increase the height of the bite. The first thing you need to do is to have your missing teeth fitted. Damaged teeth also need to be restored with veneers and crowns. Another important task here is the normalisation of the temporomandibular joint, which results in a noticeable lifting of the lower third of the face.
- Restore the shape of teeth that have changed due to wear and tear. The main way to remedy the situation is to protect teeth with crowns (for chewing teeth) and veneers (for the front teeth).
- We increase the visibility of the upper incisors. This can be achieved in two stages. First, orthodontic treatment is needed to move the teeth to make the incisors more visible. The second step is to reshape these teeth. Veneers, composite restorations or crowns are used for this purpose.
- Restoring the beauty of tooth enamel. Professional hygiene, whitening and remineralisation procedures are suitable for this in most cases. In some situations, veneers can restore a beautiful enamel colour.
