The pluses of using a CT scanner in dentistry are:

When am i recommended to get a ct scan of my jaw and teeth?
This type of examination is recommended:
- when planning any type of dental treatment, including therapeutic, orthopaedic, surgical, orthodontic, etc.;
- in cases of teeth, jaw or facial trauma;
- when temporomandibular joints need to be checked;
- for suspicion of occult caries;
- for diagnosis of neoplasms and tumors;
- for teeth and/or jaws development anomalies.
3D computer examination has no absolute contraindications. You have only to abstain from it if the patient is not able to stand and/or during serious mental disorders.
