All-on-6 implantation
All-on-6 implantation is an effective method of restoring teeth when you have full adentia or a large number of teeth lost. The concept is an excellent alternative to both uncomfortable removable dentures and expensive total implantation, when 8-12 artificial roots are implanted in one jaw. Also All-on-6 implant method is superior to the other All-on-4 concept in terms of reliability and stability.
At DENTART we use the All-on-6 method with Nobel premium implant systems and other implants. Choosing the services of our implant surgeons you can count on high efficiency and reliability of dental restoration, minimal treatment time and excellent aesthetics. The essence and advantages of all-on-6 implants in Kiev
This concept for restoring lost teeth involves the placement of six implants in the jaw.Our implantologists adhere to the following scheme:
- Two implants are placed strictly vertically in the area of missing central incisors;
- Another two artificial roots are also placed strictly vertically behind the canines, that is, on the sides of the front jaw;
- The last pair of implants are plugged at an angle in the lateral areas, where the masticatory teeth might be.
This arrangement of the artificial roots in All-on-6 provides excellent stability and allows the implants to be immediately loaded with temporary dentures.
The advantages of All-on-6 implantation are:
- High and proven efficacy for total adentia.
- Price appeal. Total dental implants are significantly more expensive.
- Quicker timelines for tooth restoration. We place temporary dentures ready for an immediate loading. All-on-6 usually takes 7 to 10 days along with the initial diagnosis.
- o sinus elevator or other bone grafting surgery is required even with moderate jaw bone atrophy.
- Possible application in periodontal disease.
- Increased reliability compared to All-on-4 concept.
-
Reliable support on six implantsTo restore a full arch on one jaw, six implants are placed.
-
Enhanced stabilityUsing six fixtures—four of them in the posterior segments—improves overall stability and reliability and can support a smoother recovery.
-
For mild to moderate bone loss and periodontal casesThe All-on-6 concept can be used even with mild to moderate jawbone atrophy (often without bone grafting) and, in selected cases, with well-managed periodontal disease.
-
Value-consciousThe overall cost is markedly lower than total (tooth-by-tooth) implantation.
-
Four implants per jawThe prosthesis is supported by four implants on a single arch.
-
Balance of reliability and affordabilityThe All-on-4 protocol offers a good level of reliability at a relatively low cost for full edentulism.
-
When bone condition is goodAll-on-4 is recommended for patients with an excellent jawbone condition.
-
Cost-effectiveThis is the most affordable option and costs less than All-on-6.
Prosthetic options for All-on-6 implantation
The All-on-6 method allows for rapid dental arch restoration, as the prosthesis is installed immediately or within a few days after implantation. Most commonly, a surgical guide is used — this is a modern approach that minimizes surgical intervention, makes the operation minimally traumatic, and accelerates the healing process.
There are other implantation options:
- Classical method — the surgeon makes a small gingival incision, places six implants, after which the healing process begins.
- Immediate implantation — if the patient has damaged or diseased teeth that need to be extracted, implants are placed on the same day after extraction. This avoids additional surgeries and reduces treatment time.
Which method is right for you? This is determined after consultation and diagnostics. Our specialists will help you choose the best solution.
The stages of all-on-six implantation at DENTART
The implant surgeon conducts an examination and answers your questions, followed by CT diagnostics and, if necessary, dental treatment that precedes implantation.
During digital 3D scanning, a three-dimensional model is created, and based on it, a surgical guide with 6 holes is manufactured for implant placement at the required angle.
After local anesthesia or sedation in the oral cavity, the surgeon secures the custom guide and places the implants through small punctures. No sutures are required afterward.
On the same day or a few days after implantation, the doctor installs a temporary prosthetic structure — a prosthesis. Its service life ranges from 6 months to a year.
When the implant osseointegration stage is complete, the temporary prosthesis is replaced with a permanent fixed prosthetic structure.
Recommendations and contraindications for all-on-6
All-on-6 dental implants are recommended for:
- loss of all teeth (total adentia);
- loss of most of the teeth when the remaining teeth are severely decayed or in poor condition;
- moderate degree of bone atrophy and/or contraindications to bone grafting;
- desire to restore the teeth as quickly as possible.
All-on-6 concept must be abandoned in cases of blood clotting disorders or severe abnormalities of the heart, liver, kidneys or immune system.
What’s the proper care for an All-on-6 restoration?
With the All-on-6 protocol, a fixed (non-removable) prosthesis makes daily care relatively simple and convenient. The basics are similar to caring for natural teeth. Key recommendations:
- Brush at least twice daily—morning and night.
- Use a soft-bristle toothbrush and a non-abrasive toothpaste to avoid damaging the prosthesis surface.
- Clean interdental areas with floss, interdental brushes, and/or an oral irrigator.
- You may also use a mouthwash after brushing.
- See your dentist regularly to prevent problems and have professional hygiene every 6 months (or more often if indicated).
- Limit—or avoid—very hard and sticky foods.
- To prolong the life of your prosthesis after All-on-6, we strongly recommend quitting smoking.
More personalized guidance will be provided by our implant surgeons during your visits to DENTART.
-
Is All-on-6 implantation painful?
No. “All-on-6” is performed under local anesthesia or other modern analgesic methods (e.g., deep sedation). If guided surgery (a surgical template) is used, soft-tissue healing is typically faster, since the surgeon makes six small punctures per arch rather than full incisions.
-
How much does All-on-6 cost in Kyiv?
Pricing is individualized. Your total depends on the implant system (for reference: a single Straumann or Nobel Biocare implant is about UAH 24,500, while a JDental analogue is roughly half that) and the surgical approach (guided surgery vs. conventional flap, etc.). There may be additional costs for pre-treatment therapy or diagnostics. For an exact quote, please schedule a consultation with our implant surgeon.

How long is recovery after All-on-6?
Initial recovery—when swelling or mild soreness resolves—usually takes 7–10 days. Full healing (osseointegration) takes longer, about 3–6 months. At that point, the temporary prosthesis is replaced with the final restoration.
